Healing the Children Recap: Trujillo, Peru A team of 20 HTCNJ volunteers recently spent one week in mid-February in Trujillo, Peru, providing ophthalmology surgery for children at the Instituto Regional de Oftalmologic. (I.R.O.) Dr. Nancy Suarez of the I.R.O. hosted our team for the second year in a row. Our team was led by Dr. Bruce Schnall and Ms. Diane Calesnick, and provided surgery for strabismus, ptosis, cataracts and other pediatric ophthalmic conditions.Healing the Children Recap: Trujillo, Peru
